The History of Vocational 1 Sukabumi

Pembentukan sekolah swasta dengan nama STM Dharma Karya Sukabumi. 1966 : Perubahan/alih status dari sekolah swasta STM Dharma Karya menjadi STM Negeri Sukabumi dengan lokasi di Jl. Pasundan No. 1 Sukabumi mempunyai tiga jurusan listrik, mesin dan bangunan yang berafiliasi dengan STM Negeri 1 Bandung. 1984 : Pengembangan STM Negeri Sukabumi oleh Direktorat Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan melalui Proyek Peningkatan Pendidikan Kejuruan Teknik III dengan bantuan Asian Development Bank ( ADB ) dibangun gedung di lokasi baru Jl. Kabandungan No. 90 Kelurahan Selabatu Cikole Sukabumi luas areal 4,8 Ha dengan sarana dan prasarana yang lengkap. Dengan membuka lima jurusan yaitu teknik bangunan, teknik elektronika, teknik listrik, teknik mesin, dan teknik otomotif. 1993 : Perubahan nama dari STM Negeri Sukabumi menjadi SMK Negeri 1 Sukabumi. Dengan membuka tujuh program keahlian yaitu teknik konstuksi bangunan, teknik gambar bagnunan, teknik survey pemetaan, teknik audio video, teknik pemanfaatan energi listrik, teknik pemesinan, dan teknik mekanik otomotif 2003 : Ditetapkan pemerintah menjadi sekolah berstandar Nasional, pembukaan program keahlian teknik produksi pertelevisian dan mengembangkan program SMK Besar dengan penambahan jumlah siswa.
